Diesel Prices

Here in the sunny Charente diesel is currently about €1.17 a litre which equates to about £0.93 a litre in the UK given the current rate of exchange. The point is that here in France the price dropped as soon as the world oil price dropped rather than what I was used to in the UK by which I mean it seemed to take ages for the price to come down. I am visiting dear old Blighty in December and am wondering how diesel prices are going there.
Having said that, we tend to fill up at Caen which will last for 600 miles which usually enough until we get back to Caen again. John

Sainsbury's locally is £126.9 right now. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

It's true that light travels faster than sound, some people look quite intelligent until you hear them speak.

Stop global winging.

Get in the queue Mr Pinks! Smile 126.9 doesn't sound too bad - I think it was about £1.35 when I left the UK.
Definitely cheaper to run a car here - no road tax and CT (MOT) every two years! John

Diesel is still 136.9 at my geographic local. It's the classic "nearest garage this side of civilisation". Cilvilisation is located 5 miles away (Stow-on-the-wold* or Moreton-in-marsh**), I am though expecting a huge price drop when they get a new delivery to at least 134.9, maybe less!

* Being re-built
** Filled up Monday morning at 132.9, drove past on the way home some 8 hours later and it was 128.9 Big Cry ok so it's only £2 for 50 litres but it's the principle!

Didn't think I would ever see diesel at that price again.

Neither did I! I only managed to squeeze in £18 worth, as had filled up on Monday annoyingly. I can only imagine that once that lot is sold, the next delivery will cause the price to rise...will keep an eye on Petrolprices.com for the WD area....they seem to be the cheapest Town in th Country whenever I drive through there. Given AD2919574828473's proximity to the A41, I'm surprised that he's not filling his Disco up there every day of the week! Laughing Foraging near Gaydon....

It's not that bad, a small price to pay for the benefit of Permagrin.

My brother in law runs a small campsite in North Devon and due to supermarket pressure all local garages have stopped selling fuel. Its now a 35 mile round trip to get any and he now advises (on his website) everyone to arrive with enough fuel as generally customers from towns don't give a thought to the sparsity of rural fuel supplies.
