I sometimes wonder if they are needed.
The FL2 door mirrors are huge and I cant say I get much benefit from towing mirrors other than to angle them so as to be able to see the van wheels/tyres. Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?

Simple answer about towing mirrors is: With the caravan hitched, and directly behind square to your car, can you see the both sides of your caravan with the standard mirrors? If not, you need extended mirrors.

Generally speaking, unless you have a tiny narrow caravan such as an Eriba or suchlike, you need towing mirrors. It is the law and, in my opinion, not using towing mirrors is downright dangerous! Do a Google search on "Towing Mirrors" to find out.

A lot of people seem to think if they can see the front corner, it's good enough, it's not, you need to see down the sides to the rear corner. With tow vehicle and van I a straight line, stand at the rear of your van and look down the side, if you can see the tow car mirrors your fine, 10 to1 you won't be able to do this with standard mirrors.
Think of the sticker you see in the back of Trucks, if you can't see its mirrors he can't see you.

Started with Milenco Aero flat and hated them. Just couldn't see enough in them. May be better if you go for the bigger Grand Aero's but I suspect they wouldn't make enough of a difference

So bought replacement convex mirrors and they're much better. Anyone want to buy some flat mirrors?
