So looks like a combination of hot glue, Tiger Seal, some seriously sticky tape, cable ties, plastic body filler and maybe a couple of 6" nails (for good measure) to get this unit securely fitted Laughing FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

You have to install online using the MyDrive software , which you download .

https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/mydrive/

Thats where you install different Maps , cursors etc.

Hope you enjoy your Freelander and don't get lost anywhere!

Hello,
I do I install a USB plug into my FL2 2007 glove box - or any power outlet for that matter? I love this TT conversion, but am seriously nervous about installing the plug point... (am not the talented car mechanic..Smile.
thank you!

Easy - you'll find the instructions earlier in this thread. Just take a lead from the correct fuse in the fuse box below the glove box (think it's F5, but you need to check) -easiest way is to use a piggy-back mini-fuse - and an earth from an appropriate bolt. Use a "flying" socket - all bits readily available on e-bay here, and probably also where you are. No soldering or cutting needed if you get the right bits.
Alternatively you can wire it to the power outlet by the gear lever surround, but that looks much less professional. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

Thank you Past Master! Trying to get a piggy back fuse in South Africa is a bit of a challenge..
But there is an old 2006 sat nav currently installed (with a DVD drive under the passenger seat...) surely I should be able to find a power source there once I take it out. (the system is so bad and the screen looks like an Atari from the 80's) that I think replacing it with a current TomTom will be a massive improvement).
thanks

If that's an original LR satnav be careful - it links in to things like your radio. I would do a bit of research on here. I seem to remember people deciding to keep it and just mount a new one on top/alongside. (Please note, this is just a thought - I may be wrong). Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

Some of the links seem to be broken, I will see if I have the pics somewhere, I thought they were on photobucket.
Is there something in particular that you need help with?

Paul

To be honest i think i will be fine once i get going on it but i was wondering where the earth lead connects from. Im guessing the cig socket im installing will take its power from the ignition switched fuse on one spade terminal and then the second spade terminal is earthed. Also saw mentioned the blade fuse needs to be the correct way round so was wondering which way that is, but i have bought one of the little piggyback leads so is this still an issue.
Cheers for your help its most appreciated
