Be interested to know if it works. Can you update if it does?

Think about it, the same system fits the Ewoky, you cannot do it with the Ewoky via the screen, so why would the Freelander be different.

Agree, I have looked at this in the past and there is plenty I don't understand and nothing related to the DVD playing.

On the RRS, you can keep the rear view camera on continuously within the infotainment screen via the video import section of the secret menu, but I don't know about the DVD.

Mines the same Badger. Handy feature being able to adjust the contrast.... Just a pity I cannot seem to be able to enable video in motion like you can for the RRS. I will look into it more next weekend or be a lazy sod and buy the plug n play harness for £189 MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Be sure to let us know the ease of fitting and most importantly, if it works and doesn't interfere with any other modes of the unit Thumbs Up

Hope you have told your insurance company about your modification or your existing one may now be invalid. Remember ANY modifications from the manufactures original specifications be it headlights- wheel size- or above etc could very well mean you have no valid insurance.
Ok it may/may not increase the insurance costs but think of it this way, get involved in an accident and the car is police examined and not to specifications means, you are not only illegal on the road but could incur heavy expenses in repair and compensation.

It may sound like putting a damper on things I know, but I had some idiot crash head on to me and without going into details it must have cost £80000/90000 from his insurance company and that includes minor injury to two people. They admitted liability 3 weeks before court date after 18 Months

My Lexus RX300SE-L had £10,000 of damage alone

Can you actually afford to pay out £100,000s in compensation if your insurance find the details you have submitted on the insurance police are incorrect or not specified if there is a serious injury? I sure can't.

My strongest advice is to check with your insurance company FIRST before doing any modes

Won't happen to you??? Think again. This is 52 years of motoring experience, more than most on here I think Ex 2010 Freelander2 GS-e Diesel manual Silver owner

He can't, his modifications already fill both sides of an A3 piece of paper. Wink

I believe an insurance company still has to cover 3rd party liabilities insured or not through undisclosed modifications, so the £100k figure comes down somewhat, but your still left with a heap of junk and insurance companies who will not touch you as you have had insurance cancelled on you Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I appreciate your cause for concern again but this thread has nothing to do with insurance! As you are that interested however I will let you know that they are fully aware of all my mods which is a very big list! Do you really think I would be that stupid to buy a brand new car and do all my mods to it and not notify them ?

FYI

They have also covered me for a wraparound bull bar even though I told them it's a chunky 3" stainless steel A bar
