Centre dash speaker LR025878

Evening all!

Needing some help I've just purchased the centre dash speaker for my dynamic. It's the one just above the sat nav unit which is hidden beneath the large speaker grill cover. The wiring is all present but I cannot get any sound from it Rolling Eyes I have locked and unlocked the car but still no luck. I will be hard wiring a road angel unit into the car and that's when I noticed that I didn't have it in the first place.

I would have posted a few pictures but sadly I cannot seem to upload any photos! MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Is the centre speaker used for both versions of the sound system or just the 825w system, the wires may not be connected to anything at the head end?
One system has 11 speakers, the other has 17, not sure if the centre is on both systems.

What's happening, or not, when you try loading pics, mine works ok from the direct upload?

Hi Taz

Well on the XS and on my Dynamic they both come without the centre speaker and are the 380W, 11 speaker with subwoofer meridian audio. It's a odd looking speaker can you check to see that yours is always operating on your Lux ?

My wiring is all connected Whistle so not sure why it's not working

My pics upload ok but do not appear in the gallery I have sent a pm to pinky Laughing and he said he will look into this for me Thumbs Up MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Do you have the LR sat nav? There is a hidden menu, I wonder if there is a setting in there to activate it?
I can definately hear it working when the 'meridian' setting is used, havn't tried the others, will give it a go in the morning.

Also just tried the photo upload and it works fine, another member seems to have am issue with pics but that may be that they are a noob Laughing
Have you got lots of pictures, there may be a limit on the amount you can have?

I just like seeing all the LED lights come on, novelty hasn't worn off yet Laughing

The 'Meridian' setting is dramatically different to the other two shown, something called trifield technology, for instance I have a. Beyoncé Embarassed cd loaded, her voice seems to come from that centre speaker and the instruments surround you.

You're not missing much. I've got the 17 speaker 825w system and the Meridian setting is only good when you have a true surround disk in. Mine sounds a lot better for CD's, DAB, FM and IPOD when it's set to the standard stereo setting, as choosing meridian with radio, iPod and standard CD's only tends to mute the two door speakers and send most of the sound through the centre dash speaker, losing the spatial effect along the way. Thumbs Up
