England 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Santorini Black

Thought that couldn't be David Brown from Huddersfield who once owned Aston Martin hence the DBx name tags, he must be dead by now. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

A more interesting car will be the new Lagonda that AM are building. It will not go on general sale. It will be offered by Aston Martin via a private invitation to "known individuals" in the Middle East and Asia only - so that means my invitation (and Clarkson's) are not in the post. Price - this will not be released publically.

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame

Confused.....

Other than the car looking a bit like an Aston Martin (I suppose) from the front, what has this thread got to do with Aston Martin?

Indeed they are, but the Lagonda's origins former and now present (that I remarked upon) had nothing to do with David Brown the entrepreneur whose car appeared at the opening of this thread or the David Brown that once owned Aston Martin - bless him.

Actually we should thank both the DB's for making their distinct and unique grand efforts to put their money where their love of this great British automotive marque was and is now. It's that eccentric damned and be damned national trait that keeps stables like Morgen and many others alive.

It is such a tragedy that TVR passed in foreign ownership of a young whippersnapper who only just learnt how to pass a driving test and knew sod all about cars let alone about automotive engineering and design that led to the demise of the marque (but the Phoenix rises from the ashes soon in Southern England.) However, back to the present, if Peter Wheeler was still alive today he'd had have the pup hung, drawer n quartered from Blackpool Tower. And he'd have feed the remains to Ned.

Ugly front but the rest looks nice. I see it's "designed by former Land Rover man, Alan Mobberley". Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.
