Driving license counter part

I've just been reading that the paper part of the photo card drink license is being dropped from early next year.

Technology is finally catching up with the dvla. With the tax disc being dropped I wonder if they have any more plans to modernise services? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
