I've read a couple of threads on here about service costs but some of the info is a bit out of date.

My SD4 is due for it's first service and I have been quoted £512.06 by the main dealer.

That sounds a bit steep to me.

Anyone had their first service done recently?

I paid £308 from harwoods tonbridge with free mot. I paid under 300 for first service from memory. Your dealer are robbers.

Around £350 is more realistic, and if you are local to me then FYI Caffyns and Harwoods will price match

Its an A service, I don't think there are any extras to do on it. I think you can buy the service items and oil for 80 quid, how can a dealer justify another 400 quid for labour?? Shop around, your local dealer might just price match? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Managed to get it down to £400..... which still seems a bit steep but, I'm happy!

Still seems over the odds, had my FL2 first service in Bradford £280 inc vat and the car was picked up and dropped off. FL2 HSE SD4, black, privacy glass, spoiler, 19' diamond cut alloys.

i seem to recall my first service being just under the £300 mark, 2nd service nearer £400.

I was quoted £299 from a main dealer in Yorkshire, £402 from one to the north of me (but they offered to price match) and, after a little friendly banter, £200 from the one where I bought my car. In addition this dealership has looked after me incredibly well over the years.
