She'll V-Power is the only fuel I use. There are always arguments for and against, but personally I think the car is quieter of it and runs very well.

Never had any fuel system issues either. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I use it, the ordinary V Power pump has changed to this, maybe in line with winter fuel going? Same price same performance for me, possibly just a marketing ploy.

The V Power when it first came out was 4p a litre more than the standard, now it's around 7p a litre more, cynical it maybe but are they using the latest one to put the price up a bit more Question p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

The Shell website talks about improved formula (cleaner running, detergents etc) but admits it's 99% same as V-Power of late.

I'm not convinced its worth the extra. Only as I've never noticed any improvement in either performance or economy,

I tend to fill up with Shell Fuel-Save and use the V-Power every so often just to run the extra additives through the system... I think I worked out it was cheaper than buying an additive from Halrauds. 2002 Honda VFR800

I noticed my MPG improve when I went from Sainsburys jungle juice to Shell fuel save, currently I'm running V power nitro and can't say it's any quieter or smoother than the fuel save stuff. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

recently had a new Waitrose open in our area and have started using the Shell V power in both Land Rover and MX5.

will monitor over the next few months and see if there is a noticeable improvement in both cars.

I did mix and match Fuel Save and V-Power with my last XS but have run this one almost exclusively on the new formula nitro-Plus. Can't say I get 5% straight back in economy but I've only averaged less than 40 mpg a couple of times this year over 21,000 miles and the engine is responsive to drive. Hopefully clean system will payback over time. I know what an effort fuel companies put into additive development and have seen the clean valves and injectors that result. £3-4 per tankful is well worth it. Gone... 2013 XS TD4 Manual Firenze Red

You will never see the benefit of V Power by trying it once or twice, you need to run at least 5 or 6 tank fully through to even start to see the benefit.

After 3 months and 2500 miles, our new car is for sure seeing the benefits. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I tried the Shell fuel for a while but perceived an increase in engine noise, no performance or mpg improvement.
I stick with BP Ultimate Diesel at every fill and am happy with that. ...

Seems to vary from car to car. The old Disco2 ran better on BP Ultimate (and even better on 50% bio) but Shell seemed to make no difference. The TD4 definitely benefitted from Shell V-Power, but the BP seemed to have little effect. Haven't tried either on the SD4 yet, and bio is not recomended for this engine.
I've also found that ordinary French BP gives good results (must be a different formula - smells like perfume!). I assume it has a higher cetane rating, as it's slightly more expensive than truck diesel over there.

I've noticed a definite improvement with the V-Power Nitro. Getting better MPG, engine is quieter and more responsive. Thumbs Up
