No danger of that with me even with winter tyres this year. I always play it by the numbers, braking with the gears etc.

Interestingly, the guy at our 4x4 response meeting who is a paramedic and works for Edale mountain rescue was driving his Defender 90 across the Peak District near Glossop in heavy snow and some guy who thought he would show him who was boss overtook him in a Peugeot 205 and a few corners later there it was on it's side in a ditch. He stopped to tow him out and watch him eat humble pie. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

I am at present spending a few days at our mountain retreat at just over 1030 meters in the Norwegian mountains and would like to report NO SNOW here either and only a sprinkeling of snow at 1300 meters and NO ICE on the roads either Laughing

I guess all you snow lovers will have a longggggggggggg wait until you can test your Freelys in winter conditions. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Interesting point. Even with last years relatively bad snow it didn't hit cornwall as bad as further north. Which is to be expected of course.

It would need to be very bad indeed to snow heavily down there. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

That's what the forecasters said last November. I remember it being very mild early November and people would laugh in the face of anyone who suggested snow. The met office predicted a mild winter.

Then by the last few days in November it arrived seemingly from nowhere and took the local authorities by surprise with their lack of grit etc.

This is supposed to be a picture section and this thread about snow so can anyone else post some pics? LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Love it Thumbs Up

My dad used to have a 90 TD5 as a company car. He said keep your Mondeo's etc and opted for the commercial version and paid commercial vehicle tax which cost a lot less than the saloon cars on offer.
